Records of the Children's Bureau. 1908 - 2003. National Child Labor Committee Photographs taken by Lewis Hine. 1912 - 1912. Shrimp pickers in Peerless Oyster Co. Photo was taken just as they stood. Parents acknowledged ages and the fact that they worked some. Boss said they went to work at 3 A.M. and would quit about 3 or 4 P.M. Bay St. Louis, Miss.
